What

Africans in the Diaspora (AiD) introduces its “New Year, New AiD” holiday fundraising campaign to raise resources for three inspiring African social change organizations. These organizations are building future entrepreneurs and job creators in Senegal; healthy and engaged citizens in Nigeria; and financially-empowered women’s networks in rural Kenya. They need your help to meet these goals. Each organization is asking for $10,000. Will you help them reach it?

Everyone and anyone who cares about Africa. Whether you are an African who wants to give back or an ally who wants to support African change agents, this is your opportunity to ensure your small funds reach deep into the communities they are intended for.

How?

The process of investing in our partner organizations is simple.

  • We have found and vetted these organizations according to our criteria
  • You can review, select, and invest in the organization(s) that speaks to your interests and passion. You can give to all three, if inspired!
  • Once we meet the goals of the the fundraising campaign, we send the collective contributions to those organizations.
  • We will continue to engage with organization and send email updates on the progress of their project.
  • At the end of the year, we will show the impact of your investments.

When?

We have 40 days to raise $30,000!

Why?

There are many reasons to give to this campaign. Here are a few:
  • We excited about AiD. Now it’s our chance to prove that Africans give. Let’s build a movement to promote African philanthropy!
  • Our contributions will have direct impact on the transformational work taking place in Africa
  • To support Africans who are changing our communities
